Vincon Diagnostic Center has developed a comprehensive ACR and FDA

Accredited breast cancer detection program that is among the most

technologically advanced in central Florida, including Full Field Digital

Mammography, 3D Breast Ultrasound, 3D Breast MRI with CADStream

Enhanced Computerized Detection, and MRI Guided Vacuum Breast Biopsy

[available in 2010].

Patients receive personalized consultation from Dr. Concetta Giuliano at the

time of visit.

Indications for 3D Breast MRI include the following:

v  Annual 3D Breast MRI beginning at 30 years of age [American Cancer

Society Guidelines for Breast Cancer Screening, CA Cancer J Clin 2007;

57:75-89] in high risk women (20 to 25% lifetime risk) with a personal

or family history of BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation, and radiation to the

chest between the ages of 10 to 30 years of age

v  Pre-operative staging of newly diagnosed cancers (for size, margins,

multifocal or contralateral involvement, nodal status, chest wall

invasion, assessment of breast conservation)

v  Assessment of pre- and post- response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy

v  Evaluation of spontaneous, single bloody nipple discharge

v  Indeterminate lesions based on abnormal imaging

v  Breast implant integrity
